Sharjah is one of the most interesting Emirates in the country, named by UNESCO in 1998 as the Capital of Arab Culture. We will depart from Dubai and after a short 20 km journey, we will arrive in Sharjah. We will stroll through this pleasant city.
We will start at the main square called The Quran Square where the Monument of Culture is located in tribute to the sacred book of Islam. And the Pearl Monument in honor of "the seven of the union" that form the country.
From the square, we head towards the Museum of Islamic Art and Culture, located in the historic district. This visit will provide us with a deep understanding of Islamic civilization, its culture, history, and religion. We will continue to discover the city by walking along the Sharjah Corniche, seeing the oldest village and port in the country.
We will continue to explore this Emirate by heading to Souq Al-Jubil, the public market of Sharjah, where we will visit all its sectors including butcher shops selling camel meat, the most typical in the country, fish markets, and shops selling fresh vegetables and fruits.
We will pass by the city's most famous mosque, the King Faisal Mosque, located next to the blue market which consists of six buildings and over 600 shops including jewelry stores, shops selling typical carpets, and souvenirs, known as the "Courtyard Bazaar". It is a traditional market and one of the oldest in the Arab Emirates with a varied representation of local crafts. And at the end of the tour in 20 minutes we return to Dubai.
